It is feeling very Christmassy in Liverpool this year. On Saturday,  we were  invited to explore the city and see what there is to do here this Christmas. Jules this post is mostly for you and your impending visit. Our first stop was St George’s Hall which is opposite Lime Street Station. This year it has been taken over by DreamWorks Lights . Inside the hall you will find a range of characters from.. Read More

Behind the scenes at Croxteth Hall

Last weekend,  we realised that it has been years since we last visited Croxteth Hall in Liverpool, indeed it was to attend a wedding more than 20 years ago, so we decided to seize the day. The hall is nestled in a beautiful country park and so we took Jack along too. It just so happened that they were hosting an artisan market on the day we visited, so there was a lovely selection.. The Jam Exhibition!

Hi Ellie, We have finally made it to The Jam Exhibition in Liverpool. I don’t know if you remember, but we were going to go when it was in Somerset House in London but didn’t make it. The Jam were a bit before my time, but I still enjoyed looking at the.. Read More

Liverpool International Music Festival!

Just popping in quickly this morning. Yesterday evening we popped to Sefton Park to see the start of this weekend’s Summer Jam. It is a family friendly event that is part of Liverpool International Music Festival. It’s really well organised and despite there being lots of people, there was still plenty of room to set up base camp. There are lots of little areas including one dedicated to families and fairground rides a.. Read More

My Captured Moment!

My Captured

7th May 2016 My Captured Moment this week was taken the night before Evie’s birthday. Evie has chosen to go to Liverpool for dinner at our favourite vegetarian spot The Egg. Ellie had made a special effort to get the evening off from work in Manchester to join us. We feasted on delicious food and talked about the day she was born, Ellie never fails to mention that she was allowed a bottle of Fanta,.. Read More

My Random Five!

Hello, Given that I have been missing for a little while, my five this week are a random selection of what we have been up to in the interim. One In April we went to Edinburgh to celebrate Himself’s birthday. As predicted, I packed all the wrong clothes and shivered my way through the weekend. Do not be fooled by the beautiful blue sky, it was bitterly cold. Despite the snow (yes really),.. Read More

We absolutely love all things Disney, so when we heard that  Disney on Ice  was coming to Liverpool, the youngest and I were beside ourselves with excitement. We went to see it last night at the Liverpool Echo Arena. It was brilliant! We stumbled across Minnie and Mickey having their pictures taken. I grabbed gently cajoled, the youngest and dragged guided her to the queue. Now, contrary to how it might have looked, she was very.. Read More

Five On Friday!

It has definitely been a bit easier to find five happy things this week, I guess that happens when you see the sun at some point. One Like on Saturday morning as we walked Jack through the woods, it was a wondrous sight. I didn’t realise until I got home that the rays had been so strong until I looked at the pictures later. It was bitterly cold and we had sleet a.. Read More
